The Role

We are looking for a high-agency engineer who doesn't just "implement tickets" but solves business problems with high-judgment technical decisions. You will be one of the first 5 engineers at BXD.

What You'll Build

• RAG Pipelines at Scale: Building knowledge retrieval systems that handle millions of documents with sub-second latency.
• Agentic Workflows: Designing multi-step reasoning chains for complex tasks in Fintech and LegalTech.
• Evaluation Infrastructure: Creating the harnesses that tell us if our models are actually improving.

Who You Are

• Polyglot: You are comfortable in Python (for AI/Backend) and TypeScript (for Frontend/Edge).
• Pragmatic: You know when to use a simple specific RegExp and when to use an LLM.
• Owner: You take responsibility for the end-to-end quality of what you ship.

Tech Stack

• Languages: Python, TypeScript
• Frameworks: FastAPI, Next.js
• AI: LangChain (custom), PydanticAI, OpenAI/Anthropic APIs
• Infra: Docker, Kubernetes (EKS), Vercel

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional backend engineering experience.
• Shipped at least one production AI feature (not just a demo).
• Strong understanding of vector databases and embedding models.
